Terms of Use
1. The service
Oreia is a private, AI-companioned journal for waking life and dreams. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
2. Your content
Everything you write remains yours. You grant us only the limited technical license needed to store your encrypted content and process it (transiently, as described in the Privacy Policy) to provide the features you use.
3. Your responsibilities
- Keep your passphrase and recovery key safe — encryption means we cannot recover your content without them.
- Don't abuse, reverse-engineer, overload or attempt to breach the service.
- You must be at least 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age where you live).
4. Not medical advice
Oreia offers reflective companionship, not healthcare. Its insights are not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice, and it is not a crisis service. If you're struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local crisis line.
5. Subscriptions
Optional premium features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions or one-time purchases — through Apple on iOS (managed in your App Store account settings) and Stripe on the web. Prices are shown before purchase; subscriptions renew until cancelled. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which permanently erases your data. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
7. Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit our liability to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before taking effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
